Geo-information system DobroPchel

DobroPchel 

is an interactive map that helps to ensure the operational interaction between crop producers, beekeepers and regional agricultural authorities and coordinate the technological processes of crop production and beekeeping.

The DobroPchel system was created in the summer of 2019 as a response to massive bee kill that occurred due to the use of highly toxic preparations for chemical treatment of fields from pests. The situation provoked a wide public discussion, as well as a series of lawsuits against agricultural enterprises, and resulted in a search for the problem solution at the level of the Ministry of Agriculture.

The DobroPchel system was created for the crop producers to show the fields that they are going to process with pesticides on, and for the beekeepers to indicate the places where their bee yards are located.



Thanks to the DobroPchel system, crop producers get the opportunity to:

• see all the bee houses located in the seven-kilometer zone from their fields;
• mark the fields intended for being processed on the map and thereby warn beekeepers about it;
• indicate the processing time and the pesticide hazard category ;
• indicate the fields with the flowering crops that require being pollinated.

The beekeeper can:

• indicate the location of his bee yards on the map;
• change their location if the bee yards are migrating;
• see the fields in the seven-kilometer zone around on the map and realize which of them will be processed. Therefore, the beekeeper can close the bee houses in time and protect bees from the pesticides applied.
